Integrating. - A meter in which one or more excess supply counters register the supply above predetermined limits is provided in addition with a total supply counter, all the counters being driven from the same source, of power. The meter 1 is provided with a contact which sends through an operating-magnet 8 a number of impulses during a predetermined time interval proportional to the energy used in that interval. The magnet 8 operates, through an armature 5, a counter registering the total supply, and also closes a contact 24 in the circuit operating- magnets 2, 3, 4 which actuate counters registering the excess supply above three corresponding limits. The magnet 8 also advances, in a clockwise direction, a ratchet-wheel 9 which is periodically returned to its starting position periodically by means of an electromagnet 15 controlled by a clockwork 16. The ratchet-wheel 9 carries a pin 13 which closes in succession switches 18, 19, 20 in the circuits of the magnets 2, 3, 4, which are thus brought into operation after three separate limits of consumption within the predetermined period. The switches 18, 19, 20 are adjustable along the periphery of the wheel 9 into different positions in relation to the starting position of the wheel in order to vary the supply limits. Alternatively the excess counter may be arranged to register supply between certain limits by causing the switch 18 to be opened on closing the switch 19, which is opened on closure of the switch 20. The wheel 9 may alternatively be driven by gearing from the meter 1. The counters may also be mechanically driven, for example, by means of gearing from the wheel 9.
