Abstract
674,764. Current duration meters. HEPTINSTALL, J. Aug. 28, 1950 [Sept. 15, 1949], No. 23827/49. Class 37. [Also in Group XIX] A current duration meter is applied to an agricultural tractor for registering its total period of operation (see Group XIX) and comprises counting mechanism actuated by a clock movement adapted to be kept in oscillation by electric or electromagnetic pulses supplied from a battery or other source, the circuit through which is closed when the ignition circuit of the tractor engine is closed by turning a key which, at the same time, gives a positive start to the balance-wheel 10 through an arm 32 which also acts as a brake to stop the clock when the ignition is turned off.
