Abstract

381,335. Turbidometers. HEYHOE, O. H., Ouida, Hospital Road, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. Oct. 9, 1931, Nos.28050 and 33890. [Class 97 (iii).] A light-tight casing is divided by a partition 1 into two chambers 2, 3 and light from a source 4 in the chamber 2 passes through an aperture 1a in the partition 1 and through a container 6 for the material to be examined in the chamber 3, an adjustable eyepiece 7 or aperture being provided in the wall of the chamber 3 so that the material may be viewed at an angle to the rays of light passing through the container. A lens or prism 8 may be provided between the source 4 and aperture 1a and the latter may have an adjustable shutter 9. Coloured glasses may be placed in the aperture 1a or before the eyepiece 7.
