[Class 27.] Coin action, weight. -A coin inserted through a slot 3, Fig. 1, after passing through selector mechanism which may be as described in Specification 372,077 drops to a stop 15 and the tail 43 of a pivoted catch 39 which it tilts by weight. The head 41 of the catch has a number of depressions 45, 47, 49 which engage a camshaped edge 35 on a pivoted goods ejector lever 27, so that the tail of the catch must be fully depressed before the lever 27 can be actuated. This prevents repeated actuation of the lever 27 for one coin insertion. When the lever 27 is fully actuated, the tail 43 can move further and the coin drops to a money-box, the catch 39 returning by gravity. Articles stored in pile.-The lever 27 is pivoted at 29 and is actuated by a knob 7 passing through a curved slot 5. An ejector 19 pivoted at 25 to the lever pushes the bottom article of a pile 11 through a delivery slot 9. The slot 9 is closed by a shutter 10 pivoted to one arm 53 of a bell-crank lever 53, 59 which co-operates with a toe 57 on the ejector lever 27. The toe raises the shutter, when the lever 27 is moved to deliver an article, and holds it closed until a coin is inserted. In a modification, Fig. 4, the ejector lever 127, provided with a knob 107 and coin-freed catch 139 as before, has a bent guard plate 116 which projects through an aperture 114 in the side of the article magazine 113, and on which the bottom article rests. After release, the lever 127 is moved to the left allowing the bottom article to drop to the bottom of the magazine 113 opposite a delivery opening 118 therein, which is now closed by a bar 120 projecting from the lever 127. When the lever is returned to its initial position by a spring 131, the bottom article is pushed through the opening 118 by the plate 116 and drops to a bridge piece 124 adjacent a delivery opening 109.
