Delivery of articles stored in piles; storage. - A goods vendin-apparatus comprises a casing 9 containing a number of compartments 11 for receiving packets of goods 26 arranged in a circle on one side of a vertically positioned revolving disc 10, visible or indicatable from outside, in combination with one coin-freed apparatus and one coin-shoot. The disc 10 is rotated by a knob 18 and held in the required position by a spring-controlled roller 15 engaging depressions 14 in a discwheel 13 positioned to the rear of the disc 10. The packets 26 are kept in position in each compartment by a weighted platform 29. carrying a notched rod 28 controlled by a spring-controlled catch 30. Coin action, multiple-coin. - The coin-freed mechanism is arranged to be operated by two coins. One coin is inserted in a slot 23 and falls down the main shoot 23<a> acting against the end 40<b> of an overbalanced lever 40, moving that end for the other end 40a to close that part of the main shoot 23<a>, the coin resting on the end 41 of a stop lever 53. When the second coin is inserted it is deflected by the lever 40 into a side shoot 23b, where the coin comes against and lifts a flag-piece 48 to put the flag-piece in line with a projecting arm 51 of an ejector rod 50. A handle 43 is now depressed when a vertical lever 46 will be moved for the flag-piece 48 to engage the arm 51 of the ejector rod 50, which will move an ejector block 32 and push a packet 26 out of a compartment 11. During this movement the second coin has fallen against a lever 56, pivoted to the rod 50, and held there whilst the stop 41, holding the first coin, is actuated by the lever 46 acting against a rod 54 carried on one arm of the lever 53, and this coin released. An arm 58 connected to the handle member then comes against the hanging lever 56 and releases the second coin. Coin-slit closing-devices.-One end of a spring- controlled rocking lever 20 is formed with a curve having an upturned nose portion 25 acting through slots 19 in the back of the compartments 11 against the packets 26 normally to hold an arm 22 of the lever free of the coin shoot 23, but should a compartment 11 be empty the end 24 of the lever moves into the slot 19 and the other arm 22 closes the mouth of the shoot 23.
