377,645. Collecting leakage oil from bearings. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London,-(Assignees of Stanton, M. J. ; 21, Weller Avenue, Pittsfield, Massachusetts. U.S.A.) Jan. 19, 1931, No. 1754. Conven. tion date, Jan. 18, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Classes 12 (i) and 12 (iii).] A member 31 rotates with a shaft 11 in an annular recess 22 adjacent the shaft bearing 10, whereby lubricant passing from the bearing along the shaft is forced into a drain passage 23 leading from the recess. The member 31 is slidably keyed on a sleeve 26 secured to the shaft by means of a pin 35 engaging a slot 37, and fits between the walls of the recess, the inner side face of the member being cut away at 32 adjacent impeller blades 34 extending to the periphery of the recess. The end cap 15 of the bearing is provided with a grease cup 18 and with a pressure relief valve 19 having a spring-pressed pivoted cover 20.
