Abstract
377,473. Decklights. TURLEY, H., Brackenrigg, Whitburn Road, Cleadon, Co. Durham. Aug. 28, 1931, Nos. 24291/31 and 15102/32. [Class 113 (i).] A decklight on a ship or a rooflight on a building has the central bar a to which the lights b are hinged mounted in sockets in the end walls of the light so that, on the release of interior locking devices, the beam with attached lights can be bodily removed and the opening used as an escape hatch. The locking means shown comprise the slotted pin m carried by the beam a which is secured by a hook q the release of which causes a rope ladder t to descend. Alternative locking means comprise a loop carried by the beam and engaged by a cam lever.
