376,595. Moulding butter &c. by rotary-mould-table machines. BENZ, J. and HILGERS, W., (trading as BENZ & HILGERS), 246, M³nsterstrasse, Diisseldorf, Germany. Oct. 31, 1931, No. 30204. Convention date, Nov. 6, 1930. [Class 87 (ii).] Butter or other plastic material is divided into uniform portions by cutting off portions from a continuous stream, pressing said portions into uniform shape and rejecting in said pressing all material in excess of a given quantity. A stream of butter f is fed against a plunger i into a mould b, which is one of four similar moulds carried by radial arms on an intermittently rotating shaft, and is severed by a cutter h. The mould b is rotated to the second operating station where the butter is compressed between opposing plungers l, n, excess butter being squeezed out through apertures p in the plungers n. In the third station the butter is ejected by a plunger s on to a table v from whence it may pass to a wrapping device. The plunger n may emboss the butter with ornamental designs. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) the moulds may be stationary and the plungers may move past them. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
