Abstract

376,293. Tins or boxes for dentifrice. CUSSONS, L., Kersal Vale Works, Manchester. April 7, 1931, No. 10274. [Classes 18 and 66.] In a box for flat cakes of dentifrice of the kind comprising a shallow tray 3 with a rim flanged outwardly and downwardly to form an annular base and a cover whose rim engages around the base, the rim of the tray consists of a sloping surface 5 down which water can drain and a non-tapering or substantially non- tapering surface 6 over which the lid fits. The lid is cup-like and its lower edge abuts against a bead on the lower edge of the surface 6. Radial corrugations may be provided in the surface 5. The box is circular and made of thin sheet metal, e.g. aluminium.
