[Class 97 (i).] In apparatus according to the parent Specification having a block or stop operable by hand to disengage the feeding means from the film, so that the spring may run out without feeding the film, the block &c. is so coupled with a film length indicator that the action of the indicator stops with stoppage of the film feed. In the construction shown, the film 1 is fed by a claw 20 having a pin 21 engaging a curved slot 22 and connected by a pin 19 to a wheel 18 driven through an intermediate gear by a gear 17 on a spring barrel. The slot 22 is formed in one arm 23 of a lever on a pivot 25, the end 26 of the other arm 24 of the lever being bent to engage a block or stop 27 in the form of a lever rotatable about a pivot 30 by an external knob on a spindle 28 carrying the lever 27. Rotation of the lever 27 depresses the arm 24 and moves the slot 22 so that the claw 20 does not engage the film. A film length indicator is driven by the spindle 28, and a ratchet wheel 31 on the spindle is engaged at each revolution of the gear 17 by a spring pawl 32 to operate the indicator. The rotation of the lever 27 moves the ratchet wheel 31 out of the path of the pawl and causes operation of the indicator to cease. In a modification, the pawl 32 may engage the ratchet wheel 31 tangentially ; alternatively the apparatus may be so constructed that disengagement of the film feeding means is effected by stoppage of the film indicator.
