373,362. Supporting typewriters on the person. PIHKALA, L., 8, Elõintarha, Helsinki, Suomi, Finland. April 21, 1931, No. 11793. [Class 52 (iii).] The baseboard 1 of a portable typewriter has at each side a slideway 13 carrying a twopart hinged clip 4, 6 to engage the thighs of the user. The parts of the clip are spring-urged to fold beneath the baseboard and are opened by pulling on a bow-shaped handle 24, the strengths of the springs controlling the limbs 4, 6 being such that the main limb 4 is moved first. In addition to the sliding adjustment of the base 14 of the clip the slideway 13 may have rotatable adjustment both parallel and normal to the baseboard.
