372,508. Photographic developing- apparatus. RENKER, M., 19, Friedrichstrasse, D³ren, Rhineland, Germany. April 1. 1931, No. 9823. Convention date, April 3, 1930. [Class 98 (ii).] In diazotype developing-apparatus the paper travels over two guides respectively in advance and behind the zone of contact with the roller, and arranged in a swingable device adjustable to regulate the tension and distance of contact of the roller. As shown, the apparatus comprises two sideplates 2 supporting a container 4 in which runs the roller 6, adjustable for controlling the depth of immersion. Alternatively, the container 4 may pivot on an axis 8 and be clamped with the screws 9 to the walls 2. The guiding-device comprises arms 12 which are pivoted to the walls 2 and which carry a block 16 round whiþh the paper runs. A guide-roller 20, fixed or pivoted to the arms 21, is pivoted at 23 to the arms 12. Alteration of the take-off angle controls the pressure exerted by the block 16 on the table 10 and the pressure of the paper on the roller 6. The braking surfaces 10, 16 may be covered with soft or hard rubber, felt, or with the material known under the registered Trade Mark "Bakelite." The portion 18 of the guiding device may be extensible.
