Abstract
371,960. Signs; moving signs. BEVILLE, W. J., 2, Loraine Place, Holloway Road, London. Jan. 5, 1931, No. 401. [Classes 3 (i) and 3 (ii).] A reflecting device capable of being used as a sign or as a reflex light on a vehicle comprises a number of fluted or like reflective surfaces inclined at different angles to a fixed plane or base member. Fig. 1 shows a form for use as an advertising &c. sign in which the rectangular reflectors 1, 2, 3 are secured to the base 4 by clips 5 so as to be inclined at progressively increasing angles to the base. Stencils &c. 7 are secured over the reflectors. A hood 8 is mounted on the base member. The reflector may be so mounted on a stand &c. that vibratory &c. motion can be imparted to it. Movable &c. colour screens may be superposed on the reflectors to im part a colour-changing effect. Fig. 4 shows a form adapted for use as a reflex light, or for a road warning sign, comprising a number of superposed fluted &c. reflectors 9 .. 12 of progressively decreasing diameters, the reflectors being inclined at progressively increasing angles to the reflector 9.
