370,907. Pressure-regulating valves. GEE, H. T. P., 51, Chancery Lane, London.- (Pintsch Akt.-Ges., J. ; 71, Andreasstrasse, Berlin.) Jan. 12, 1931, No. 1021. [Class 135.] A gas pressure regulator has the outlet pressure conducted to the actuating chamber through a passage in the valve spindle said spindle i being extended to form a nozzle i<1> extending into a Venturi or like constriction j through which the main outflow passes. In the form shown in the Figure the valve member d is directly connected to a pair of diaphragms b, g the space e between them being connected to the outlet passage by a passage k in the valve spindle. The nozzle i<1> is so disposed relatively to the Venturi constriction that as the valve opens the passage is further constricted so causing a further decrease of pressure in the actuating chamber. In a modification the Venturi constriction is formed in the valve seat and the diaphragm g is subject to outlet instead of inlet pressure.
