370,239. Recovering waste liquid. McGLASHAN, J. and MACKIE, J., 9, Cathedral Street, Glasgow. May 26, 1931, No. 15345. [Class 102 (ii).] An appliance for filtering and returning waste beer or other liquid to casks containing, liquid under pressure comprises a container, the cover 5 of which is provided with a filler opening 15 and an opening 4, the cover 8 of which carries a discharge pipe 6 depending to the bottom of the container. A box 9 on the cover 8 contains felt or other porous material 10, supported on wire gauze 19 and a perforated disc 18, and secured by a cap 20. In use the compressed-air pipe is removed from the cask and connected to the opening 15, or to an opening 17, and the liquid is discharged into the cask through a flexible pipe connected to a union 11 on the cap 20.
