[Class 40 (i).] In a moving-iron ratio meter used with distant resistance transmitters W, W<1>, and comprising energizing coils spaced 180‹ on an annular iron, the sum or difference of a number of magnitudes is indicated by subdividing the coils S<1>, S<2> into pairs displaced 180‹ and providing the appropriate number of resistance sliders N, N<1>. Auxiliary resistances r<1>, r<2> are placed in the coil circuits for coordinating the relative values of the magnitudes to be measured.
