Abstract

A road-dressing composition comprises a bituminous material, particularly crude oil bitumen, and loess, with or without sand and mineral oil. The ingredients are mixed hot and after cooling the mixture is crushed to granules of 2 mm. size. It is applied to the road by rolling or tamping while cold. The bitumen content may be as high as 25 per cent.
