[Class 132 (iii).] In an electromagnetically operated pointshifting device for toy railways a rocking member h, operatively connected to the point tongues by a rod p is adapted to be locked in either of its two positions corresponding to those of the points, by a compression spring q, mounted on a pin t pivoted to an arm r of the member h passing freely through a fixed washer s. To shift the points a magnet a is energized ; the armature b thereof advancing a member d, Fig. 2, against the action of a return spring o connected to one arm of a double-armed lever e pivoted to member d at f. The lever e in its forward movement engages the appropriate edge of a projection m of the member h, Fig. 5, slides into the corresponding notch l and then rocks the member h pivoted at i, past its deadcentre when member h rocks to and is held in its other position by spring q. An indicator denoting the position of the points may be operated by a rod v connected to the plate u carrying the point tongues, the rods p, v being bent from one piece of wire.
