[Class 106 (ii).] In a sliding calliper gauge, an additional slide 4 is mounted on or in either the fixed jaw 1 or the sliding jaw 3 or on both jaws so that the instrument may be used as a limit gauge, the " no go " dimension being between the usual jaws and the " go " dimension between the end of the additional slide and the other jaw, or between the two slides where two are provided. The slide 4 may be fitted with a micrometer adjustment, and the locking device 5 for the sliding jaw may also lock the additional slide.
