Abstract

368,112. Loud-speakers. KOLSTERBRANDES, Ltd. and STRAFFORD, F. R. W., Cray Works, Sidcup, Kent. April 11, 1931, No. 10720. [Class 40 (iv).] In a moving-armature electro-acoustic device, one end of the armature is fixed and the position of the other is adjustable by a facecam or swash-plate. As shown, the armature 7 is clamped at one end by bolts 8 to a supporting member 6, and an extension 9 thereof is covered at its extremity by a rubber buffer 24 which co-operates with a swash-plate 10 controlled by knob 15. A flat spring 26 presses on to the buffer 24 holding it in contact with the plate 10 to prevent chattering. The bar magnet 21 supports yoke pieces 4, 4<1>, composed of laminations riveted between brass sidepieces 22, and supporting the polepieces 27, 28. The various parts are bolted together and to two cross-pieces 19, 20 bolted to a base 1.
