A friction pad s is attached to one of the masses t by a pivot x and engages with a friction disc r secured to the sleeve o, the shaft q being thus driven at a constant speed determined by the position of floating contact between the friction pad s and friction-disc r irrespective of the speed of rotation of the shaft a.
