[Class 4.] Aeroplane fuselages at their major section are reinforced by four plates c .. f having large portions cut away so that they bridge the interior of the fuselage. The plates are positioned as shown in Fig. 1, the lower points m, n forming points of attachment for longitudinal and cross ties while the upper parts t, u, v, z are joined to plates.
