Convention date, Dec. 21, 1929. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (v).] A directional transmitter or receiver for very short waves comprises a rod-shaped dipole aerial rotatably mounted and associated with a direction indicating scale. Two mutually perpendicular dipoles may be arranged for transmission and reception respectively at one station and a rod-shaped conductor of length equal to half the working wavelength may be arranged parallel to the dipole at ¢, ¥ or 5/4 &c. of a wavelength away to avoid an ambiguity of 180‹.
