Abstract
364,497. Luggage attachments. DUNN, G. G., 534, Rutherglen Road, Glasgow. May 30, 1931, No. 15851. [Class 136 (i).] A device for carrying portable stoves or like light articles on bicycles comprises means adapted to engage both the top tube or other frame member of the bicycle and the stove &c., and provided with a single nut or other fastening , element adapted also to lock the stove &c. securely in position. The device comprises an S-shaped member c, d having one end d fitting into a socket e of the stove, and a second curved member a of looped or hairpin formation, of which the closed end is adapted to be passed over the screw-threaded upper end c of the first member, the parts being clamped around a frame tube f by means of a wing-nut h and a washer j, with the lower;end b of the member a engaging the base g of the stove. The end d is flattened &c. to fit the socket e. Each member is made from a single length of brass &c. wire or strip. In a modification, the two members are pivoted together.
