Abstract
364,469. Screw pumps. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NœRNBERG AKT.- GES., N³remberg, Germany. April 17, 1931, No. 11414. Convention date, June 7, 1930. [Class 110 (i).] A pump with helical blades for irrigation and drainage purposes has a casing a with a double bend c on the discharge side and a similar bend g on the suction side. Pipes e, e<1> are connected to the bend c and are provided with valves f<1>, f, while pipes h, h<1> with valves i<1>, i are connected to the bend g. The pipes e, h may be united in a common pipe k which may act alternately as sucton and discharge pipe. When the valves f, i<1> are open and the others f<1>, i are closed, the flow is from the pipe k to the pipe e<1>; with the valves f, i<1> closed and the others open the flow is reversed.
