Abstract
363,237. Cooking vessels. GROOT, A. DE, 112, Elms Road, Clapham Park, London. Feb. 28, 1931, No. 6312. [Class 66.] A double cooking vessel for boiling or steaming purposes. of the kind in which the inner perforated vessel 2 can be engaged by means provided on and lifted by means of the lid of the outer vessel 1, has the inner vessel provided with fixed or detachable legs 9 by which it is spaced above the bottom of the outer vessel. The means on the lid for engaging the vessel 2 may be strip metal catches such as 6 engaging slots 4 in the wall of the vessel as shown in Fig. 1, or may be crossed wire rods 6 engaging open-ended slots 4 in upward extensions of the legs as shown in Fig. 3. The catches or rods may comprise an integral member detachably secured to the lid. The outer vessel may be provided with a filler funnel, a gauge glass, and a draw-off tap, and the inner vessel may be fitted with a series of removable perforated trays mounted on a central support.
