[Class 81 (ii).] A foot-supporting insole comprises a leather sole a cut to the shape of the foot and pressed to a curved form, in the concave side of which a gridlike structure of gut strings is stretched. The longitudinal and transverse stringing, b, c respectively, are reinforced at the most heavily loaded points. The sole may have a lateral support d, and depressions for the heel and large toe ball. It may be covered on both sides, and a cover f may also be provided.
