Abstract
362,250. Rotary steam boilers. AKTIEBOLAGET ATMOS, 2, Nõckstr÷msgaten, Stockholm. Feb. 18, 1931, No. 5150. Convention date, July 7, 1930. [Class 123 (ii).] In a boiler comprising a number of tubes 3 arranged around and connected to a central rotatable drum 4 as described in Specification 300,634, to increase the circulation in the tubes, they are connected with the drum at one end only and at the other end are fed directly with water from the inlet pipe 1. The tubes 2 connecting the inlet pipe with the boiler tubes 3 are made flexible to allow expansion and contraction of the boiler tubes. A contraction 9 in the feed inlet pipe 1 at the front of tubes 2 produces a reduction of pressure by which water is drawn from the drum through a pipe 8 and mingled with the feed. Steam is drawn ofl through a pipe 8, and the boiler is blown down through a pipe 7. The boiler tubes and the drum are provided with scraping chains to prevent the deposition of impurities.
