361,898. Coloured glasses and enamels. DEUTSCHE GASGLœHLICHTAUER-GES., 16, Rotherstrasse, Berlin. Aug. 26, 1930, No. 25422. Convention date, Sept. 24, 1929. [Class 56.] Small quantities of oxides of the rare earths such as lanthanum, cerium, or mixtures thereof, are added to glasses, enamels, glazings and the like to be coloured by selenium or elenium red, in order to stabilize the colour. The oxides, or salts such as the sulphates or nitrates, are added in proportion of about 1-2 per cent. Specification 354,566 is referred to.
