Abstract

361,787. Paper - folding machines. EHRIG, H., 34, Otto-Schmidtstrasse, and KEILHAUER, U., 4, Auenstrasse, both in Leipsic, Germany. March 26, 1931, No. 9240. [Classes 100 (i) and 100 (ii).] A deflector for the stop-plate g<1> of a buckling-folder machine consists of a bar i which is capable of being slid lengthwise across the mouth of the stop-plate. The bar i is triangular in section and is slid, by means of a handle at one end, through a hole in one side frame across the mouth of the plate g<1> and has a pin or spike at the other end which enters a hole in the other side frame. The mouth-pieces p, p<1> of the plate g<1> are bevelled as at r to seat the bar i and the upper one p is stepped at r<1> to prevent obstruction of the sheet by the bar i. The folded sheets can be directed by a pivoted guide s either to a delivery-board m or to a travelling-band n conveying the sheets to a crossfolding device.
