Abstract
360,473. Supply meters. LANDIS ET GYR SOC. ANON., 1, Hofstrasse, Zug, Switzerland. Aug. 7, 1930, No. 23641. Convention date, Aug. 10, 1929. [Class 37.] The winding of a bobbin 2 for electricity meters, and electric measuring instruments, is enclosed in a casing consisting of two sheet metal shields 7, 8 arranged to cover the driving core around the part bearing the bobbin, to the exclusion of the movable element of the instrument. The shields act as a magnetic screen in addition to providing mechanical protection. A strip 9 is stamped out of one of the metal shields, and coacts with an arm or pin 11 on the meter spindle 10, to prevent idle running. The aperture 12, 20 produced, may be used as an outlet for the conductors. The shields are lined with insulation 6, and may be arranged as a pot-shaped part with a cover.
