358,623. Couplings for flexible conduits. DUMBELL, J. B., Lowlands, DUMBELL, P. B., The Chalet, both in Tettenhall, near Wolverhampton, and STARKEY. T., 46, Compton Road, Wolverhampton. July 25, 1930, No. 22405. [Class 99 (i).] A device for connecting a flexible electric conduit to a fitting comprises a sleeve, one end of which is formed internally with a spiral groove D to receive the convolutions of the conduit and the other end is screwthreaded for engagement with the fitting. The former end has a part B detachable therefrom to permit insertion of the conduit without screwing, the said part being normally secured to the main part A by set screws C engaging lugs a, b on the two parts. The part A may be formed integrally with the fitting. The Provisional Specification describes also a sleeve formed of two detachable halves.
