Abstract
358,412. Sphygmomanometers. FROSSARD. J. J. H., 86, Rue de Varenne, Paris. April 10, 1931, No. 10611. Convention date, April 18, 1930. [Class 81 (ii).] A sphygmomanometer comprises a normally flat inflatable envelope 1, the peripheral edges of which are reinforced by a wire 2, or are vulcanized, so as to be inextensible and to prevent lateral deformation when inflated in use. A manometer 3 is directly attached to the inflatable envelope and an inflating bulb 4 with non-return valve 5 is provided. The envelope is enclosed in a fabric casing 6 with straps 7 for attachment to the limb of the. patient.
