Abstract
In the production of ammonium sulphate nitrate by introducing sulphuric acid and ammonia into ammonium nitrate solution with utilization of the heat of neutralization for complete or partial evaporation of the solvent water, operations are carried out under comparatively strongly alkaline conditions and the rising vapours are freed from ammonia by the counter-flowing sulphuric acid.
