Abstract

357,433. Attaching umbrellas &c. to the arm. CORNIC, E., 16, Rue Etienne Marcel, Paris. Dec. 6, 1930, No. 36856. Convention date, March 11. [Classes 43 and 134.] In devices for attaching an arm strap 7 to an umbrella or the like, whereof the stem 1 is formed with a tenon 2 for receiving a handle 6, a washer 3 to which the strap is attached is placed on the tenon, and clamped between a shoulder 5 of the stem and the handle. The washer may be formed at its edge with a perforated lug 4 to which the strap is attached as by a swivel 8 and eyelet 9 sewn into a reinforced end of the strap ; or the washer may have two diametricallyopposed lugs to which each end of the strap is attached. The washer may be prevented from rotating by a point or screw in the handle.
