726,470. Umbrellas. KORTENBACH, K., KORTENBACH, A., and WORRING, F., [trading as KORTENBACH & RAUH]. May 20, 1953 [May 20, 1952], No. 14219/53. Class 134. In an umbrella handle arrangement wherein a screw-threaded pin 6 is secured to the stick 5 by means such as a rivet 7, and the handle, comprising a sleeve 1 and an insertion 2 connected together by parts 3 and 4, is secured to the stick by means of nut 8, the said nut is provided with slits 9 so that when the nut is screwed on to the pin 6 the flanges separating the slits are drawn into a clamping sleeve 10 having a conical inner surface and are pressed firmly against the pin 6. The nut 8 may also have a conical outer surface as shown. The sleeve 10 may be separate as shown or integral with the member 2 of the handle.
