692,980. Seat sticks. ADENEY, G. L. March 19, 1952, No. 7134/52. Class 52(ii) In seat sticks of the kind wherein the stem is hollow to accommodate an umbrella &c. and wherein the base of the seat member, closing the hollow stem, is in pivoted connection with a sleeve screwed upon the stick stem the base is provided with a pair of lugs 9, 10 pivoted by coaxial pivots 12, 13 to the sleeve 7 screwed upon the stem 1 which stem is provided with a plain spigot end 5 so that as the seat member is unscrewed from the stem 1 the spigot 5 withdraws from the seat base to allow the seat base to be pivoted about the pivots 12, 13 and so expose the hollow stem to permit the entry or withdrawal of the umbrella &c.
