Abstract
356,150. Water tube steam boilers; oil burners. FRÍHLICH, E. and HECKL, O., 18, Via S. Anastasio, Triest, Austria. May 30, 1930, No. 16825. [Class 123 (ii).] In heavy oil burners wherein the oil is atomized by steam produced in a generator comprising a nest of tubes b connected with an annular header d surrounding the burner flame steam for the burner being drawn from a tube c above the flame, the generating tubes are connected at opposite ends with the water and steam spaces of the header so that variation of water level in the header varies the evaporative area of the tubes, and a housing g connected with the header by pipes e, f, accommodates both a float valve i regulating the water level in the header and a non-return valve k which cuts off the feed when the steam pressure exceeds a predetermined value. The tube c is connected with the steam space only of the header and acts as a superheater.
