Abstract
436,376. Liquid-fuel burners. MOTLEY, L., Nuneham, Staines, Middlesex. April 6, 1934, No. 10432. Addition to 393,993. [Class 75 (i)] In order that the steam generator of the rotary oil burner apparatus described in the parent Specification may be fed with distilled water, live steam from the steam generator or exhaust steam from the turbine is led through a coil a<1> in a water vessel a to a nozzle a<3> arranged in the outlet a<2> of the vessel a. This steam and the steam generated in the vessel a passes through a condenser coil c to a hot-well d having an outlet d<1> leading to the feed pump of the steam generator. Uncondensed steam may be led to further air- or water-cooled condensers communicating with the hot-well d. An overflow pipe fitted with a non-return valve e connects the hot-well d to the vessel a. The vessel a is fed with water from a main storage tank through a float or bird-feed control.
