Abstract
355,959. Paper folding machines. CAMCO (MACHINERY), Ltd., 63, Farring- don Street, London. Sept. 5, 1930, No. 26564. Convention date, Jan. 23. [Class 100(ii).] In a paper folding machine comprising a movable stop-plate 22 and compensating rollers 16 .. 18, a deflector 38 is associated with :he plate 22 and is adapted to be moved into and out of operative position by a movement substantially parallel to the fold plate. The fold-plate has side fins 42 sliding on angle frames 43 and near its hose is provided with bosses 35 carrying studs 36 on which slide slotted arms 37 to which the deflector 38 is attached. In its inoperative position, the deflector engages behind small pins 39 on the plate 22 and is prevented from moving farther back by the engagement of the studs 36 with the ends of the slots. To move it into operative position, the deflector is lifted over the pins 39 and moved forwardly until the studs 36 engage the opposite ends of the slots when shoulders 40 on the arms 37 engage behind stop-blocks 41 on the plate 22. The movement of the plate and deflector towards the rollers 16 .. 18 is limited by stops 45 engaged by the links 37, and when the plate is operative its inward movement is limited by similar stops against which the fins 42 abut.
