Cuttling and folding transversely. - In a machine for inserting pressboards into and folding cloth the table 14 receiving the pile of goods 19 can be folded downwards or displaced laterally to allow the goods to drop on to a support, e.g. a conveyer band 20. As shown, the table is in two parts which are pivoted at 2, and connected through gearing &c. 17, 7, 9 to a lever 10 by which they can be raised into the position shown and then retained by props 4 on a shaft 6 provided with an operating handle 5.
