Abstract

354,211. Wrapping materials. WAXED-PAPERS, Ltd. and HOPE, A.R., Nunhead Lane, Peckham, London. May 3, 1930, No. 13688. [Classes 94 (i) and 94 (ii).] A wrapper, for confectionery, and of the type comprising a sheet of waxed paper having superposed thereon a separate piece of metal foil or the like so applied that a portion only of the waxed sheet is covered, is made in a continuous web for use in a wrapping machine, the separate wrappers being severed from the web as required. The foil is secured to.the paper by passing between heated rollers. The wrapper is applied so that the strip 11 of foil overlies the sides of the article and the uncovered portions of the waxed paper 10 extend beyond the ends ready for twisting as shown in Fig. 2.
