Abstract

353,317. Warp knitting-machines. WIRTH, E., Hartmannsdorf, near Chemnitz, Germany. Sept. 19, 1930, No. 28098. [Class 74 (ii).] A machine which knits a combined warp and frameknitted fabric, there being a loop of each kind on each needle, comprises essentially a row of bearded needles, a set of warp guides 3, an ordinary yarn guide 4, jack and dividing sinkers 12, 13, and a presser 10. Loops are sunk after the parts 3, 4 have arrived to the front of the needles, as shown in the Figure, but before the warps are laid in the needles. The sinkers 13 are held by a rail 25 working in an elongated recess in the sinkers 12, which are operated by jacks 22.
