Abstract
352,906. Motor vehicle frames. FORD MOTOR CO., Ltd., 93, Regent Street, London. Jan. 9, 1930, No. 831. Convention date, Jan. 9, 1929. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Classes 79 (iii) and 79 (iv).] The engine 20, clutch and gear, &c., housings 24, 25, and torque tube 27 are mounted in a frame F clamped at 19 to a front transverse spring 10 and swivelled at 18 to a bracket 16 clamped to a rear transverse spring. The frame F is connected to the main frame F<1> at the front by horizontal and vertical springs 34, 35, Fig. 3, placed between brackets 32 on the frame F and the beams 28 of the frame F<1>. The exhaust is discharged into the tubes 12, 13 of the frame F which are perforated at the rear ends. The forward end of the tube 13 serves to connect the carburetter 40, Fig. 6, with an air filter 43. A plug 44 is inserted in the tube 13 to separate the air intake and exhaust sections.
