350,594. Light-current relays. TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L. M. ERICSSON, 33, Kungsgatan, Stockholm. March 18, 1930, No. 8723. Convention date, March 25, 1929. [Class 38 (v).] Contact-making relays for use in telephone circuits have sets of detachable contact springs secured at one or both sides of the relay, the individual contact springs being secured by being cast into insulating pieces and the contact springs on the same side being actuated by a common shifting member consisting of an insulated plate connected to an arm projecting from the curvature end provided with slots or recesses in engagement with projections of the movable contact springs. As shown in Figs. 1 and 3 the contact springs 12 are secured in position by being cast into insulating blocks 11 which are carried by single brackets 10 screwed to the short arm of the relay yoke 2. Lateral projections 18<1> of the shiftable springs engage recesses 18<11>, Fig. 7, formed in insulating members 15 which are loosely mounted on pins 14 carried by cams 13 of the pivoted armature 3. Thus on attraction of the armature the shiftable springs are moved through the movement of the members 15 to engage cooperating relatively fixed springs. The latter are maintained in position by engaging recesses 17 in insulating plates 16 which are screwed at their upper ends to the relay frame and have projections 19 at their lower sides for limiting the motion of the plates 15. Any suitable number of contact springs may be employed, corresponding fixed and movable plates 15, 16 being provided for operating and positioning them.
