Abstract

819,362. Electromagnetic relays. SOC. D'ELECTRICITE MORS. April 4, 1956 [April 8, 1955; June 25, 1955], No. 10312/56. Class 38 (5). The moving contact springs 5 are carried by an insulating support 5<SP>1</SP> operated by the relay armature 4 and co-operate with fixed contacts 13 upon energization of the coil 2. The contacts 5, 13 are arranged in a number of vertical rows in planes parallel to Fig. 1, the contacts 13 being carried in a number of similar superposed insulating blocks 14 clamped in a support 6. The rear ends 10 of the contacts 13 comprise pins for insertion into fixed socket contacts 11, the contacts 11 also being mounted in superposed insulating blocks 14 secured to a panel 8. The mounting of the relay is facilitated by the engagement of pins 16 in sockets 17. In a modification (Fig. 2, not shown) the relay is disengaged from its mounting panel by a pivotal, instead of a rectilinear, movement. According to Figs. 5-7 (not shown) the relay is mounted in a flat elongated case and a number of these cases may be mounted together (Figs. 8-10, not shown) and be movable as a unit either rectilinearly or pivotally to have plug-and-socket engagement with the mounting panel.
