Abstract
724,182. Electromagnetic relays. PETO SCOTT ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTS, Ltd., VENNING, J., HILL -, and HEATH, R. C. July 4, 1952 [April 6, 1951], No. 8076/51. Class 38 (5). The operating magnet 11 of a relay has two coils 12, 13 which are changed over from a parallel to a series connection by the movement of the armature 27. The armature is pivoted at 29 and connected by a link 33 to a contactoperating member 36 which is biased by a spring 43 and further guided by a link 42. The movement of the contact effects the above change over as well as controlling other circuits, Fig. 3 (not shown). To make the relay shock-proof the armature is counterbalanced by two centrallypivoted levers each carrying a weight 54 at one end and being slotted at the other to engage a pin 32 on the armature. Specification 724,183 is referred to.
