346,137. Electromagnetic relays. ERICSSON TELEPHONES, Ltd., 67, Kingsway, London, and ROGERS, A. G., 103, High Road, Beeston, Nottinghamshire. March 20, 1930, No. 8886. [Class 38 (v).] Contacts.-An electromagnetic relay has a unitary contact-member comprising a plurality of contact limbs which protrude independently throughout their length from the same fixing or clamping point. Fixed contactsprings 4, 11 are clamped by screws 2 to the heel-piece 1. Each of the springs has two limbs 16, 17, Fig. 1, and a contact at the end of each limb. Mounted between the springs 4, 11 is a movable spring 5 having a single limb and two contact points on each side to co-operate with the pairs of contacts on the springs 4, 11. Buffers 6, consisting of strips of copper or bronze stiffened by ribs 22, have lugs for supporting, separately, the limbs of the springs 4, 11 thus allowing of independent adjustment. The spring 5 is operated by a member 10 connected to an armature 8 which is pivoted at 9.
