Abstract

1,207,104. Electromagnetic relays. SIEMENS A.G. 18 Feb., 1969 [19 Feb., 1968], No. 8666/69. Heading H1N. An electromagnetic relay having small dimensions in the direction of contact movement has a change-over contact blade 5 mounted in an insulator 1 in the same plane as fixed contact support plates 2a, 2b and the moveable contacts 6, 7 are mounted on arms 5a, 5b at the slotted free end of the blade 5 to co-operate with respective fixed contacts 3, 4 on the plates 2a, 2b. Contact blade arm 5a and the contact supporting end of plate 2b are cranked so that the normally open (3, 6) and normally closed (4, 7) contact sets are side by side and the contact actuator element 8 is retained between the ends of the arms 5a, 5b which overlap each other. A locating pin 8c of the element 8 extends through a hole 5a<SP>1</SP> in the arm 5a and element guides 8a, 8b engage in the armature 9 which is carried on a leaf spring 9a to cooperate with the yoke 10.
