350,067. Hose pipe couplings. UNITED WATER SOFTENERS, Ltd., Aldwych House, Aldwych, London, and LAWRENCE, H. S., 152, Perth Road, Ilford, Essex. March 17, 1930, No. 8537. [Class 99 (i).] In a coupling for securing a hose pipe to a tap in which a bolt is used having means for anchoring it within the tap, the end of the tap C is seated on a rubber washer within the socket portion of a union E which is adaptable for use with taps of different sizes. The anchoring member J pivoted to the bolt M has a cam surface L at one side and teeth K at the other. It may have teeth on both sides. A nut O which extends through the base of the union carries a metal washer Q and rubber washer R.
